CREATIVE ARTS EDUCATION

About the Programme

The Creative Arts Education Programme is a joint initiative by PATI and LAND (Learning through Arts, Narrative, and Discourse), launched in November 2023 to bring education and the arts into meaningful dialogue. Designed to foster collaboration and co-learning among university learners, schools and local communities, it introduces research-oriented, inquiry-based interventions in classrooms while advancing trans-contextual learning at the grassroots level.

Conducted in government schools, the Hueson Mandi Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School (Mandi), Govt. Senior Secondary School (Kotwali), Mahatma Govt. School (Sarafa Bazar), PM Shri Mahatma Gandhi Govt. School (Jalori Gate), and Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School (Rajmahal), all housed in historic buildings within the walled city of Jodhpur, the programme responds to the social, cultural and architectural contexts of learning. It recognises diverse learning styles, connects classroom learning with community knowledge systems, and encourages mutual learning across generations. Through collaborative inquiry among educators and by integrating design thinking and sustainability into the curriculum, the programme creatively reimagines education as a shared context-responsive process.
